Enhancement of OBIEE repository layers which enables business users to prepare their own ad-hoc reports. Creating analytical reports and dashboards in OBIEE which helps business executives to take their decision. Identifying the bottleneck SQL queries from Oracle BI Publisher and tuning queries using optimized SQL writing methods. Responsible for performance tuning ETL objects to complete the Batch Schedules on time and performance tuning of BI dashboards & ETL jobs to meet the SLA which is critical for Business Users. Responsible for administration activities like RPD Merging, RPD & Web catalog migrations, and support of BI Application tools (OBIEE, and ODI). Analyze user requirements, procedures and problems and identify the Gaps while mapping the AS-IS (current process) to the TO-BE (proposed solution)
Design and develop Java, Mobile and Client Server applications as per the requirements, implement best practices to maintain optimal performance
Perform System Testing and Performance Testing
Perform gap-analysis and reconciliation of data received from various sources Create data verification scripts to ensure consistency in trading data across various database systems
Provide technical guidance to the test team to ensure that software test activities are performed according to the developed test strategy and test plan
Assume the primary role for performing the tasks associated with configuration of the system to meet the various Business requirements.
Prepare the FDSs (Functional Design Specification) documents, detailing the functional and technical details in creating a custom Services, Reports, Programs and Functional Modules. Coordinate with scheduling team to schedule the jobs according to the agreed SLA.
Debug custom code to spot and identify the cause for the bugs identified as part of the Support and resolving issues logged on the Testing Log.
Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results. Collect and analyze data for software process evaluation and improvements, and integrate them into business processes to address the needs of the business.
Perform quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed
Provide 24/7 Support post Go-Live, fix all the bugs on a priority basis (from the most severe to the least).
